Introduction to the project:

Project title: A study of the impacts of Benzoic acid on pig performance and consequent viability of the enterprise

Purpose of the study: This study will assess the impact of using additives such as Benzoic acid not only on performance but also on how this affects the overall business (cost, profit and viability).

This study is being conducted in collaboration with ABN.

You are invited to assist in this study by providing industry perspective on additives in growing pig feed including Benzoic acid, zinc and antibiotics. 

Questionnaire participation:

If you decide to take part in this research, you will be asked to complete the following series of questions. Some questions are compulsory, whilst others are voluntary and will encourage you to share your views on the topic area.

The questionnaire is expected to take no longer than 10-15 minutes to complete.

Confidentiality and Consent:

Please only complete this questionnaire if you are over the age of 18 and are involved in the UK pig industry - whether that is on farm, or as a member of supporting industry.

Your participation is completely voluntary and will not be financially compensated. If you decide to participate in this research, you are able to withdraw at any point by cancelling the page and your responses will not be saved. As soon as you click 'finish', your answers will be submitted and can no longer be withdrawn as no personal information that can identify you will be collected.

All information obtained during the study will be treated with the strictest confidence. All data will be stored anonymously; it will be impossible to link to any individual volunteer and will only be accessible to the principle researcher.
